How many waterfalls will we see?

The Hilo side is known as the waterfall coast! Depending on your interests and pace, you'll typically see 3-5 major waterfalls including Rainbow Falls and the stunning 442-foot Akaka Falls. We can add more waterfall stops on request.

Is this tour available with Kona pickup?

Yes! We offer pickup from both the Kona/Kohala Coast and Hilo side. Kona pickups add about 45 minutes each way, which is why we recommend the 8-hour duration for the full experience.

What if it rains in Hilo?

Hilo's tropical rainforest climate means occasional showers are part of the experience – and that's actually what creates those incredible waterfalls! We provide rain gear if needed, and the lush greenery is even more beautiful with a little mist.

Can we combine waterfalls with the volcano?

Absolutely! The 8-hour Hilo tour can include Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. If you want more volcano time, consider our full 10-hour volcano tour which covers both extensively.
